Gaston Family Health Services, Inc. State Funded Rehab

Gaston Family Health Services is a community sponsored, family-centered provider of health, education and preventive care services without regard to the ability to pay.

The Gaston Family Health Services Dental Clinic opened in January 1996. The Gaston Family Health Services Pediatric Dentistry began treating patients in July 2004. Both dental clinics serve county residents who have Medicaid, Health Choice, or private insurance as well as those who are uninsured or underinsured and cannot afford fees charged by private dentists. On average, 80% of the population served is children.

In addition to providing a full range of primary dental services like cleanings, fluoride varnish, fillings, sealants, extractions, pulpotomies (baby root canals), and primary crowns, pediatric dentists perform full mouth rehabilitation for pediatric patients at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

The Gaston Family Health Services Dental Clinic sees children and adults of all ages and has evening hours. The Gaston Family Health Services Pediatric Dentistry sees children ages 0-13 and offers Sedation Dentistry.

In January 2008, Gaston Family Health Services began operations of the Open Door Dentistry in Statesville, NC. The Open Door Dentistry provides similar general and preventive oral care services. The Open Door Dentistry is open Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
